RMS bearing cap

Trying to replace the RMS today but cannot get the baring cap to come loose. Any pointers on the best way to get this off? With the way my luck has been recently, I am a little leary of messing something up. Thanks!

Use a brass drift or hardwood dowel, tap along the bearing cap surface back and forth, should work it loose. Don't beat on it.

If that doesn't do it, loosen up the other main caps some and repeat the tapping process, the additional weight of the crank should help dislodge it.

Don't forget to re-torque all of the rod and main caps, even if you didn't loosen them.
