D44 crosspin

Decided to crack open the D44 this morning to change the gear oil and noticed that my crosspin retaing bolt is gone and there are a couple of small pieces missing from the pinion gear. Can a retaining bolt be bought or was it just a roll pin in the first place? This 44 is out of an 88 XJ. Thanks!

My Dana 44 only has a roll pin, no bolt.

Check inside the hole for the pin.

If there is a piece in the housing see if it punches out.
If not it might have threads.
I have seen both.
