I have finally got back onto my engine and box swap.
I have lost the top part of the dipstick tube,(and the dipstick)
Does anybody know the correct level in regards to the bottom part of the dipstick tube?
I can make another tube and dipstick but I need a dimension.
I was thinking of filling just to the top of the bottom tube.
I know I could drain it and refill with16 pints of new stuff, but you never really know if you've got it all out.

should be that hard of a part to find. But I would think the level should be at the bottom of the tube.

You should have the whole tube, and not too full. Ive had my AW4 overheat and spurt fluid out of the dipstick. This then hit the exhaust and caught fire!

Seems like when I do a partial change, I drain through the plug, replace the plug, and add 3 quarts of fluid to bring it back to the proper level. Doing this should get you in the ballpark.
