It should work.

Count the input splines on both, they should be the same. You will need to address the difference in output shafts, either use the 95 drive shaft (or maybe just the 95 yoke), install an SYE, or you night be able to swap the 99 output shaft.

The plan was to put my SYE in the 95 case because it is not in a Jeep. As long as it will work.
