reverse lights not working

i found out there wernt working when i was out wheelen with som buddys. they told me they wernt and so i went to a parts store to get some bulbs bought them and put them on and went to check to see if they were working and still nothing and i pulled my tail light off again to see if the wires are still good everything looked good checked fuses everything so what im asking is i need some help to get these working again any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Always post year/engine for most accurate replies.

The neutral safety switch circuit controls your reverse lights.

I would start by adjusting that switch. Might as well pull it off, clean, grease and readjust at the same time.

X2, remove and service the NSS. You're gonna need to sooner or later.

use brake cleaner, some sand paper and then a LIGHT coat of white lithium grease or dielectric or whatever you want.
i also used some sealant on the gasket to help keep the NSS clean for the future, but just use a little. it doesnt need much.
