2wd comanche stock 4.56

I just bought this thing it is pretty clean, well anyways, the original bill of sale was in the glovebox and says optional 4.56 axle ratio. If only it was a 44 too. Still, I was thinking spool it and drive it like it has 4wd. Has anyone seen stock 4.56?

Yeah - they were optional in "the early years" you could mostly get em behind an auto and a 2.5l....

if you're going to spool it and leave it 2 wheel drive, you will NEED several hundred pounds of sandbags in the back. an MJ with spooled rear and no front drive is still very poor offroad because there is no weight in the back. I speak from experience.

Well, there is a ford 9" sitting in the bed right now, but not for long. ;)
