Hi folks. Did quite a bit of seaching, but have come up a bit short. Short version: failed emissions (sniffer) on all measures. New to me 93 Cherokee, 4.0, 198000 miles, header, looks like a 99+ intake, 5.5" lift, D30 front/8.8 rear, 4.56 gears. Here's what I have done so far: new plugs, wires, coil, dizzy cap and rotor (good spark), fuel filter, ran some seafoam through the intake, oil change (5w 30). I thought the cat might be bad, or hollow. I can't get any measurable backpressure on the engine side of the cat. Might be the way I am measuring or the gauge is crappy. Measures vaccum just fine... But, the temp difference between the front and rear of the cat is almost 200 degrees, maybe more which points to something else. Need an opinion, replace the cat or ? The 99+ intake has me wondering about the MAP. Maybe put in an adjusable MAP? Any help or input is appreciated
