A simple question yes, I have searched but 'I' am unable to find the answer.
Frame plating has made my frame end trac bar studs to short to serve the HD trac bar bracket I have.
Can these just be knocked out? They do wiggle a little bit but do not want to f up the sheet metal on the inner frame rail if there is something I am missing.

This is on my 97.

Thanks

Are you talking u about the metal strip with the two bolts? I would imagine you could replace the whole thing with two longer bolts if you can get to them to hold them in place.

the top 2 studs?

it just rests in there. you can tap it out.

yes the two top studs, ok it seemed like they would tap out, just wondering if anyone had experience with them. will get to this tomorrow, and give it a try.

Heres something I did to mine back when I swapped a RE bracket/brace on. Tapped out the stocker piece and made up a new, beefier piece outta a strip of 1/4" and some 1/2" Gr8 bolts.
