Went to bolt in the rear driveshaft (a front DS from a 2000) and the U-joint at the axle yoke is too small I believe. The rear axle is an XJ D44 but apparently it was under vehicle (had to relocate perches), so the yoke could have been swapped. Question is, is this yoke for a 1330 U-joint? Will a 1330 fit in the front DS? Or do I have to swap in a different yoke :(

You can see that there is a decent amount of space to the U-bolt. The bottom cap is down all the way. There's not suppose to be that much space right?

you need a different yoke on either the D44 or the DS. it will most likely be easier and cheaper to find a 1310 yoke for the D44. That def looks like a 1330 yoke. its much wider even tho they arent much different in strength

You can get a 1330-1310 conversion u-joint. That would be probably the easiest if you don't want to swap yokes.
