oil burning

I am experiencing oil burn problems. I cant figure out if it is the rings or valve seals. The engine is not driven hard and has 200k miles on it. The only time I see where it is burning oil is once in a while during initial start up or at sudden spike of rpms. If it is the seals how hard are they to replace?






1995, 4.0l, aw4/np242, d30/35 200k miles

Cold start good chance its the seals, about $15 for a set, not hard to do.

This is the 4th thread since June that you have started with that exact same question. Use your old threads with replies and quit starting new threads about the same thing.

If it smokes when you accelerate you have bad rings and you need to rebuild or replace your motor.
