I was wondering if there is a relay produced that switches on when powered but stays on once the power is cut it stays engaged?

for instance if a "momentary contact" button switch was activating the relay but you want it to stay activated until the momentary switch is pressed again.

There is a reason I can't use a toggle or this would be pretty simple.

I found a guide to solder your own but I find it hard to believe it's not mass produced.

Latching relay, automotive latching relay. Google it--you will find them in many variations at any electronics parts supply house--Mouser, Digikey, etc. etc. etc. You will find that some cycle on and off with a press of the same switch and other designs that require a separate switch to cycle off.

Thanks I've been searching for latching board maybe latching relay will have better results :D
