transmission problems aw4 PLEASE HELP!!!

ok in drive i have to peg it to about 3 grand let off then it will shift into second and the rest of the shifting is fine except for the i believe i can feel the torque converter intermittenly.....i have adjusted the throttle cable and drove around with the tcm unplugged and it shifts fine....i was thinking solenoids or the tcm please help me i need to get this fixed
