YJ Dana 30 axle shaft

will the dana 30 shafts from a YJ work in my 92 cherokee? i broke the ears off the passenger side yesterday when the u-joint went. was able to limp home, and my brother has several D30's for wranglers that i can grab a shaft from.

YJ D30s are vacuum disconnect thru at least 1994 (if not all the way to 1996) and have the small u-joints. If you have a vacuum disconnect D30 they will work.

91 would have been the last year for the D30 CAD in an XJ with the NP231, so likely his is not and he needs a one-piece passenger side axle--OP, most likely not.

I think I can use one from a TJ. I've got the NP242 TC. Probably just replace both sides.

A TJ D30 shaft will work.
