JCR Skid plate Fitment Issue

So my buddy and I were trying to install the JCR transfercase skid plate this afternoon but the fitment seems to be a bit off. The skid seems to be a bit to narrow to hug both of the frame rails. aka you can get it on one side but not the other. We tried taking a highlift to expand the skid, but the 1/4 inch steel only flexes and comes back to the original shape. I'd really like to get it on tomorrow.. does anyone have any ideas on how we can bend the skid wider to fit?

Thanks

x3. Floor jack plus the weight of the jeep worked great for me.... just have a rubber mallet ready to get it off, for the paint and drilling.....good luck

It is so off that using a jack lifts the jeep!

call jcr. they have great customer support

I'll give JCR a call tomorrow but i just wanted to snap a pic of our failed attempt to enlarge the skid opening. It DID move with the highlift, but just sprung right back after tension was released.
