So my wife and I are seriously interested in a Jeep in Murray,UT. We've talked to the owner and what not. Seems to be a pretty good deal.

Don't really want to drive from Boise and find out there's something wrong... the owner said they've had it since pretty much new off the lot. It's been sitting since last October in the guy's driveway ever since his son bought a new car.

No... I talked to him like three days ago. maybe he's just waiting to hear back from us...

However, we've got a guy from a dealership coming to look at our Tacoma and possibly buy it within 45 mins so my wife and I will be renting a car and probably driving down to Utah in the next day or so to buy...

Sooooo... we need to find something asap because if they buy our truck we'll be down to two scooters!

Welp... it did get sold this past Saturday... so now we gotta find something else. I'll probably be driving down Weds/Thursday back to Utah with my bro if the dealership buys our truck so... keep an eye out!

Ok cool. My wife isn't too worried about having a lift and what not as this'll be the main family rig for driving around town... and that low of miles it should last us quite awhile.

Just wanted to make sure price wise it's about right.

Now if someone can help Brad M. figure out what the front end noise from his axle is... so I might be tempted to buy it =)

I've been talking to the guy and said lowest he'd go is $3500 but he's reposted for $3400... The pics i've got it seems to be in pretty good condition. He's second owner, first owner was his mom. Not sure what his 'lowest' price would be, but so far i'm liking this one the most but I wish his price was a little lower.

Kinda more than we wanted to spend on one... but a 99 w/only 78k miles...we plan on having it forever with such low miles.

If we end up getting this one, it'll be my wife's car for awhile. I'll be getting a cheap beater Cherokee for winter to and from work and to put the lift on. Down the road we'll be saving up to get her a 4door Tacoma and the nice Cherokee will become mine to turn into our 'ideal' adventure family weekend warrior rig.

If it falls through, just might have to hit up the Texas guy.

The one in Helena has too many miles for that price for me... i'd prefer to start stock for that price w/lower miles and slowly build up.

That red '99 could be a decent score with that low mileage, dude... good on ya'... :thumbup:

I checked out an "ok" '90 two-door w/170k the other day (only about 2 miles away) that had been parked due to a suspected fuel leak.
It looks like it only needs the #1 injector and a couple of 0-rings (leaking bad at the fuel rail), possibly a battery, and definitely a windshield
to become a "legal" daily driver... I'd bet It could be had for $500, maybe even less... :D

Looks like we might be getting a different one instead... finally got in touch with another XJ seller who we've been trying to get in touch with. Has a 99 manual with 117k on the clock. Will take $2700 cash in hand since he's moving back to Alaska. Going to check it out at 3ish... just sold our Taco so hopefully this Jeep works out so we've got at least one vehicle besides scooters to get around =0

Picked up the 99 manual for my wife.

117k miles, tires have 9 months on em'. No leaks or anything. Base model. Was a fleet vehicle before the last guy bought it.

Now I need to find a Cherokee for around $2500 is what our budget has for me..Don't really want to drive that Texas Jeep back...24hours away lol.

I'd prefer 97 or newer, automatic. Stock or lift doesn't matter.
