anything country

alan jackson, tim mcgraw, vince gill (and everyone else during their run)

Jason aldean, brad paisley, Kenny chesney (also pretty much anyone in todays country as well, with the exception of toby keiths's honkytonk badonkadonk, i think that is a disgrace to country music)

ill throw in the occasional Merle, maybe a hank williams song or two, usually they are too slow for wheeling though. (although i do love charlie pride- finally friday)

The Moody Blues rock!

XM radio the other day played the whole "On a threshold of a Dream" album.

I haven't heard that since I was a kid...Funny I listened to them when I was very young before I found pot. Listening to them now I wish I would have remembered that when I smoked pot. :D

Play music while wheeling? Appalling! :nono:

When I wheel, the phone is off and the music is off... as it should be.

Wheelin'? Couldn't tell ya. How about a little Hot Rize or Red Knuckles and the Trailblazers while heading to the river or suitin' up? Last night it was CCR and the Allman Bros.

There is lots of wheeling that doesn't require total concentration.

Besides.....who are you to tell others how to drive?

To each his own I say.

So, my opinion means nuts to you, what is new.
I have not "told" anyone to do anything, but rather offered up my "list" and my opinion to the thread.

I will clarify my opinion though, since you seem to have difficulty understanding it ;)

It's not about concentration, it's about respect.
Respect for where you are, respect for others.

Life does not need a musical sound track, especially when you are amongst nature; it has it's own beat. When I wheel, I just know that that experience of being where I am with who I am with does not need to be spoiled by the presence of manufactured music.

When I am done wheeling, I kick back around the camp fire and enjoy my friends. At that point music may or may not be involved depending on the groups wishes, maybe even some brewskis :D

:nono: <- that to me seems to imply that you think its wrong for others to do what you don't.

I have no issue with you if you don't listen to anything. Lots of times I do not either.

Like I said...to each his own.

While wheeling, nothing cept for the CB, too busy listening for bad crunching noises underneath, watching spotters and sucking up seatcovers to be listening to music...
Now on the road, aerosmith, jim croche, blackfoot, ventures, Johnny rivers, mountain, patsy cline, joan jett, waylon jennings, etc, all custom ones. Just downloaded some warren zevon and new riders of the purple sage from the internet archives thur nite, live concerts from woodstock and various venues, great stuff. Also picked up the boxed set from Trans siberian Railroad yesterday, getting ready to rip it to mpgs this weekend. I got pretty varied taste. Oh well, off to breakfast.

No music while wheeling. If I can hear others music from my rig, I'll get away from them. Nothing personal, nothing to do with concentration either. I just prefer to hear the wilderness while I'm there. .02

So what you're saying is you listen to Earth, Wind, and Fire??? =)

And who came up with the rainbow smiley? :spin3: (like these weren't gay enough to start with) =D

And I still like Scorpions when I wheel...of course if there's any chatter on the CB the stereo is never loud enough to actually hear.

with the exception of toby keiths's honkytonk badonkadonk, i think that is a disgrace to country music)

(although i do love charlie pride- finally friday)
FYI...Toby Keith didn't do Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. That was Trace Adkins. Also, Finally Friday is George Jones, not Charlie Pride.

I really dunno what I listen to. Usually on the bump trails its System of a Down, or Tool. For the smoother ones Jack Johnson, or John Butler Trio.

Although sometimes I play my TGIF CD which just has songs that get you pumped and ready to party on a friday night. Such as "I Dont Want to Work", "Rock 'n Roll Aint Noise Pollution", "Saturdays Alright(Nickelback, not Elton John)".
