1992 Jeep xJ with tilt , Buddy parked in front of my house yesterday, and went to leave and it seems the ignition broke, The cylinder pops right out and whatever actuated the electrical portion of the switch isn't working. We can use needle nose pliers inside where the cylibder fits and turn it, It feels normal, and has tension in when turning in the start position, but no electrical power.Pop the cylinder back in it buzzes, but wont start the truck. Does the cylinder complete some ground circuit to make the ignition switch work?
-Its parked illegally on my street and the windows are down.
- Is this likely something broken in the switch itself?

Key, Key Lock Cylinder, Remote Rod, Ignition Switch (on the lower part of the steering colum).

Remove the cover, locate the ignition switch, move it manually to START, then back to ON, drive home.
