Looking at getting another Cherokee since my 89 got sold and our xtra cab Tacoma wont suffice for the kid we've got on the way (first one, yahoo!)
Been looking at KSL as there hasn't been much here in Boise. Found this one in Magna,UT and curious if anyone is close enough to check it out or has checked it out. We're willing to probably fly down if tickets are cheap enough and just drive back.
Just want to make sure whatever we go down for is legit and trustworthy.

It's got a 3" RC lift, new adj. RE tracbar, leaf springs from SkyJacker, tranny lift (i'm guessing he means SYE?)
Here's some pics that he sent me...

No SYE, just a transfer case drop. Looks like it might have a good sized leak from the transmission/transfer case area as that area is covered in fluid. Not that it's a big deal, but I wonder why he's saying it's a RC lift but with Skyjacker leaf springs and Skyjacker rear shocks? I haven't looked at it in person, but it doesn't appear to be in bad shape? Just my $.02.

Don't have his addy. Just been exchanging emails and such. Didn't have a need for the address as we're still weighing which Cherokee we want to buy...if any at the moment.
My name is Brian. So if you say you're checking it out for me, just say it's the guy from Boise you've been talking to.

Is that a D35 c-clip or a 8.25?

I've technically got a RE lift but have skyjacker shocks just because Quadratec offered that in a type of package deal a number of years ago.... Wonder if he got the same deal.

Did they all come like that? I used to have a 35 but drums in the rear and no ABS

Just the newer Jeeps. They all had 8.25 axles unless they had ABS. Then its a D35.

I don't know... My 01 has ABS and it stops better than my 89 with a drango mc, zj rear disks, and the big booster...

Not really knocking the ABS system It's just a bigger PITA when you decide to start upgrading stuff. If you want to put a D44 in the back you have to lose the ABS which is a pain.

Thats an 8.25 in the back there, guys, look again at the pic. No way that huge housing and beef cake tubes are a 35. Plus i dont think i saw any ABS wires anywhere in those pics.

I think you are right. That photo is misleading. A tell tale sign of an 8.25 is the stop sign style housing around the cover. You can't see it well in that photo but its there.

How can you tell if it has a LSD? Just the diff cover tag? That'd be sweet if it had one.

Better yet, has anyone checked out any of the Cherokees on KSL that are 96-01 in the 1-$4000 price range?
My wife and I are looking for a family vehicle and trying to find the right one. Lift or no lift doesn't matter.
Also looking at this one... http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=733005&nid=443&tab=list/view&ad=3009599
Got pics for it.

See anything worth checkin' out in Utah County (Provo/Orem area)?
I've got lots of free-time next week and could probably go take a look for you.
Not interested in the right '95? That's one of the better years, you know....... :farmer:

Got the pm.
Just an FYI, the Cherokee doesn't have to be lifted, stock or non stock is ok. Ideally we're looking for two... one for my wife and one for me.
