i want to get a gps mainly for daily driving use (streets and highways etc) but also want something good for offroad use.

i was at first thinking about getting the Garmin Quest 2 but decided against it due to lack of expandable memory. now im looking at the GPSMAP 76Cx because it says it does route mapping as well as offroad. a very big plus side for me is that it floats and is waterproof since i have a jet ski and reallly wanted to see how fast it goes and play around with it on that and i have friends with boats that would be fun to use on.

has anyone had any experience with this unit? i dont need the Csx because a compass and baromiter i dont really care much about. any help would be great as this would be my first gps. i just want to make sure it will work well for street mapping. i pretty much want to be able to use it right out of the box too with the included software. or is the included software pretty much worthless? for things like points of interest, addresses etc.

thanks for any help folks.

Kevin

cool thanks guys. i think i definetly decided on the GPSMAP 76Cx. i finally went to REI and saw it. Man that thing is way bigger than i had pictured it online. Oh well. I played with it and the menu seems really easy to navigate through, the screen is large enough to see while driving, and i found a good deal on gpsdiscount.com with the city nav software and car kit. thanks for all the info guys your a big help
