From: ASA4WDC

Our next scheduled Table Mesa Clean up is fast approaching!! Saturday November 6 from 8am to 1pm. Ted Dangler (OHVA) has been working hard to get dontations(trash bags, water, etc) and to spread the word.

We need your help! If you are a member of a club or an on-line forum please pass the clean up date and time along. We are hoping to get as many people as possible for this event!

This will be an official OHV Ambassador event and will have Law Enforcement presence.

Hello Everyone, this is AZ-Ted, and I am helping organize the Table Mesa Cleanup. This event is shaping up to be a good size cleanup. There are many different 4x4 clubs that will be there: AZXC, AZVJC, AZFJ, Arizona K5 Blazers, TTORA, Zuks of AZ, Higher Ground 4x4, alloffroadaz, and several more clubs. There will also be several ATV/UTV clubs, a few dirtbike clubs, a mountain bike club (MBAA), a HAM radio club (4x4HAM.com), and even a radio-controlled car club (RCCrawlers.com). I have also posted up on several local hunting/shooting websites as well.

The BLM will be there, as will their volunteer group called the OHV Ambassadors. The Arizona Xterra Club has donated 10 boxes of the heavy-duty contractor’s trashbags, and M&I bank has donated a bunch of cases of bottled water. The folks from TreadyLightly! have donated some swag for the giveaway at the end of the cleanup, and one of their master Tread Trainers will be on hand as well. Trasharoo has donated one of their really cool offroad garbage bag holders. Over the next few weeks, I will be working with additional local companies to get more donations for the giveaway.

I'm really excited about this cleanup, and I know that we can make a really good impact out at Table Mesa. Thanks for your support, and I look forward to meeting the NAXJA members at the cleanup.

Here is the flyer I created for the cleanup:

Me and my kids will be there for sure! We did the last one and I can tell you it was the best experience i have had with my kids. They now know how import not littering is because of that clean up. We have started to take at least one trash ba out of some of our wheelin trips. Cant beat havin your 5 year old son tellin some older guys to stop littering!!

^That's really cool! The more kids we can teach about keeping our desert clean, the better off we will be in the long run.

I look forward to meeting all the XJ guys and girls at the cleanup. It should be a really fun event, and one that will get national attention (from the BLM, the NRA, Four Wheeler magazine, etc.).

At table mesa, I noticed that the majority of the trash that I saw was debris around the shooting/target areas. I would recommend bringing a rake to pick up small items like broken glass and shotgun shells.

Is it 8-1 or 9-1? Chad

It's both. Some boards have it as an 8:00am start, and others show a 9:00am start. It's up to you when you want to start. Just be sure to be back for lunch at 1:00pm. The giveaways start at 1:30pm.

Special Thanks to all who volunteered / donated / sponsored this event. It was a great success!

Me and the kids had fun, and not to mention I was a 25 dollar gift card to Sportsmans that bought me a new axe! Thanks a ton AZ-Ted for giving me and my kids the opportunity to make a difference.
