Ok, my brother called the other day and wants to run Holy Cross! No solid date as of this moment but it will be a Thursday or Friday( maybe Sept 30th or Oct 7th) to avoid the crowded weekend. I would like to have a few of my NAXJA peeps along for the carnage/fun :gee: ( Trail requirements 33" tires and a locker minimum........ and plenty of armor )
You know you want to..........

I would really like to go run this trail, I need to figure out some clunking noises from down below and get a winch setup before this but I should be able to do that if it ends up on a Friday.
Figure out the date

French Creek can be a bear. Take extra parts, most likely drive shafts. A winch is a must. We had guys with 37's that had to take a winch after screwing around for 15+ minutes.

Yes, French creek is a bear! The last time I went through, nobody needed a winch on the creek and we were all locked on 35" except for one. We did bust out a strap and pull a YJ open/open on 33" that got high centered there. It really boils down to the right line and driver skill! Now if you really want a challenge take Cleveland rock on the left, it is a sheer rock face(80degrees approx) taller than an XJ is long..... a winch is a must there :scottm: Cleveland rock is an option after Holy Cross city.

wish I could join you guys -- I have two torn up bathrooms and a deck 1/2 stained... pretty sure my better half would kill me if I take a day off to go wheeling right now. :(

Thursday September 30th Holy Cross City. My brother and I are going to stay over night and hit Wheeler Lake on Friday. Trail requirements are 33" tires and one locker minimum! My last run through Holy Cross I was running 35" tires OX/Trutrac and had no problems.

well shoot. I have a finance test on thursday morning at 8:00 so I can't or wouldn't be able to leave Denver until around 10:00 - I'm assuming that the desired start time is a little earlier than that so I probably won't be able to make this one. Wheeler lake on Friday is doable for me though.
