which ones

there is a junkyard down the street from my house and the guy has a 87 cherokee laredo with a spicer rear.is that the same thing as a d44,if not which one is better?would the above bolt directly in to my 95 with a d35?what year xj's came with a d44 that would bolt directly in?my front and rear diff are going out(they growl)so i am trying to gather pieces while it still drives.any and all help will be greatly apprciated.

"spicer" is "dana" (or was, same company, split two ways). That rear could be a dana 35 or a dana 44.

Go take a picture of it and post it here, we can tell you which it is.
