I haven't run this trail since '08 and want to just hit again for the sake of hitting it again.
Jenny Creek: Trail-damage link
(http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=17)
I would say meet at 9:30am in Rollinsville at the F.S road 149 or aka the Tunnel Moffet Rd.
For some that want to caravan up we can determine a Metro area meeting place when we get closer.
If we can get through this trail pretty fast considering it is very short we can then vote to run up the hill to Jeni Lake or head down and hit Moon Gulch (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=206) road and do some exploring.
So Far I am pretty sure JeepFreak is wanting to hit it. So (2) so far. Post up if you are interested.

No shite! Much closer than Sedalia.
If your classes are done before dark, I can check the TPS install with my volt meter. Also, I didn't think about it when you told me the engine (?) mount broke, but the exhaust manifold on the RENIX is prone to cracking and messing with the O2 sensor.
Yup, you need to start another thread.

I'm not new to wheeling at all, and its not even trail breakage that I'm talking about its just have a 20 year old jeep and being a college student, just hard to keep up with it. But that's a jeep for ya wouldn't trade it for the world. Crossing my fingers if I can go or not. We will see what I can get done this week for repairs.

This is Jenny creek not Spring Creek...........Jeepfreak, you do not even need your new upper control arms or drop brackets in to run, there is like one obstacle on this trail. What is with the bumper project all of a sudden?
I need at least one person to run with me, you guys with school and work, sheesh, I work 60-70 hours a week, have two kids under 3 and a wife that works on the weekends. I have no time to wrench but sneak it in when I get a chance. I wish all I had was school and work. :laugh3:

Wow, Ira actually driving up to wheel with us? I am in awe..................just giving you shite Ira, it will be a pleasure since last I saw you was the gear and parts run a year or so ago. You bringing your boy? I was bringing both youngsters plus a special guest. My old wheeling dude that lived with us (adult foster care.) He is going to be part of my marketing for the wheeling adventures I am trying to put together.
XJgirl hopefully you can get you Jeep in good running condition for the trip.
I actually came home from work at 4:30, the wife and kids were napping. So I started the project to replace the passenger side motor mount, took all of 1 1/2 hours.
Had to change oil of course as to do it as you have to removed the filter and adapter piece to get the Damn bolt out for the motor mount.
I found all three bolts that hold the bracket on the motor were finger loose, so saved again by odd timing. Could imagine those bolts vibrating out and dropping the motor on the passenger side. Not an easy trail fix..............
BTW why in the hell did Jeep use two hex head bolts and one torx head bolt to button up the bracket? stuuupid, hard as hell to get enough pressure on the socket and tighten at the same time!
I am not sure about a Caravan, Jeepfreak doesn't like my path I guess. I have to pick up my co-pilot at 7:30 at 84th and federal area. Then head out and I will probably head out 104th to HWY93 pass by Hypoid and make fun of him, then up 72 through Blackhawk to Rollinsville. Anyone wanting to meet on that path and head up together let me know. XJboy you still pondering??

When I told you the way I usually go to get to that area, you said: "That was the long way."
Not sure why it is a long way? You can only take I-70 part way to the Blackhawk exit but I hated driving the interstate with stock gears and 33's trying to stay at 65 barely............. I can not believe you like that torture?
Can go up coal creek as well and head left on 119 but in all there is very limited ways to get to Rollinsville.............. ????
Meet at the trailhead at 9:30, I should get there a little early if I get out of the city by 8am. It takes me an hour to get to Rollinsville from my house.
XJ Case we can meet at the 7-11 on Hwy 93 in Golden. It is just a little north of the hwy to head up to Blackhawk / Rollinsville.

Skully- I'm not even going and you have me confused.
The quickest way to Rollinsville (from the northern suburbs) is straight out 88th Avenue. 88th turns into highway 72 (Coal Creek Canyon) at Indiana. Take 72 to 119, turn left. Go a couple of miles to Rollinsville. I can make this trip from my house (98th and Olde Wadsworth) in under an hour.
Or
One of the longer ways is taking highway 6 (Clear Creek Canyon) out of Golden to 119. Taking 119 through Blackhawk then another 15 or so miles to Rollinsville.

I am going to look at it when I get off of work, plus I think the poping noise is just those damn LCA bolts getting loose again. I am not sure but I have never had a problem with my control arms bolts coming loose? Even with those arms.................never had a problem. Use your muscules there bra, righty tighty really hard!!!!! :greensmok

I already ran this trail a couple of weeks ago but wouldn't mind heading up with you guys tomarrow if everyone doesn't mind. About what time do you think you will be at the high school Skully? I can just meet you there and head out.
I am estimating my ETA of 8-8:15. Then an hour to Rollinsville. Since you went up there just a week ago how was the obstacle? Is it more dug out than last year?
After Jenny Creek I might hit Moon Gulch depending on time to scout out some new camping areas.

The right side line of the obstacle was pretty dug out, I stayed to the left side which isn't too bad at all. I didn't have much time to play around because I was fighting daylight and only had my jeep to rely on. I'll PM you my cell number but I will be at the school at 8am.
Depending on time also, I would be up for moon gulch too.

Ok well doesn't look like I will be able to get the jeep ready in time.

Water pump and thermostat are replaced and working well - temps stay just at 210, as opposed to a little higher beforehand (and no more check gauges warning)
Got my girlfriend's WJ lifted on wednesday. (thank in great part to Loren) and got a steering stabilizer on it today so she's pretty amped to test it out.
We are both in for tomorrow - in our separate vehicles.
atm I'm down to do some exploring but we'll see after the trail.
We'll see you all at the post office at 9:00-
P.s. how many of us are going to have CB's this time?
