Sonic boooom!

lady i was working for swore i did somethin... then the second one happened while she was yelling at me and she had to apologize.
 
Obongo was in town supporting Patty Murray's campaign...and someone flew a Cessna within the temporary no-fly zone, so a couple of F15s from Portland were scrambled and hauled ass up here.

I blame obama and the Canadians, since Obama = socialist and Canadia = socialist I blame socialism.
 
Since it shook the house and sounded like a bomb hit the neighbors house, I want to know how long it took to get from Portland to Seattle at the given speed.
 
portland to seattle = ~180miles

Mach 1 = ~1 mile every 5 seconds

180x5/60 = ~15 minutes?

and thats top end estimate assuming they were not going faster than mach 1.
 
One person told me it took 7 minutes, but I could not verify that in the information online.
 
sounds sounds more likely, the publicly availiable info says an f15 tops out at mach 2.5 which would be 6 minutes, but that is theoretical top end with very little weight.
 
lake union... downtown seattle. anyway you look at, they beat me. i wish my pickup could get me home from oregon in under a half hour and i'd be happy.
