Jeep / Lawnmower...help?

ive got a 98XJ with just over 100k on the old 4.0L
just a few weeks ago i took a sawzall to the old rusted out cat and muffler, hoping to get rid of the lawnmower sound i get to listen to inside the car...

with a new hi-flow cat, and 40 series flowmaster, i still feel like im behind the wheel of a damn john deer. is this typical or is there maybe a leak somewhere in the manifold or something?? if so is there a way to find something like that??
im still learning the hard way with all this stuff being that im a broke college student and break things just to fix them

just a little bit of help here would be great...thanks!!

Do a search on cracked manifold. That is likely the culprit. More info on the noise. Does it tick, sing, whistle, hum? Location? Louder on accel?

Dang, i thouht there was a jeep lawnmower...
Now I am going to have to continue with my modifications to my current lawnmower...

The flowmasters are intended to be very loud like that, and what you described is normal.

I'll be taking my flowmaster off here shortly in favor of something quieter.
