The pictures speak for themselves. Those who know the mountain know how rare weather like this is. We ascended the Ammonoosuc Ravine trail and descended Jewell.

Not pictured, about a mile from the end of the trail a 54 yr old woman with osteoporosis right in front of us tripped and broke both her fibula and tibia right above her ankle. Her husband had no clue what to do, but we splinted her ankle and took their gear. Her husband, one of the guys I was hiking with, and myself took turns and piggy backed her out. She was in remarkably good spirits the whole time, too.

looks like you lucked out with the weather. i hike it once in summer and usualy two or three in winter.

pretty much every time ive hiked in the summer i had my cold/rain gear on halfway up.

lionshead is my fav trail

Thanks Jake!

Jon, This is the first time I've ever been to the top. I brought my rain gear and softshell jacket but I didn't need any of it until I was relaxing on the summit and got cool. I've heard some horror stories about how quickly the weather can change. I'd love to climb it in the winter sometime, but I don't have the gear for it right now. I'll have to look up Lionshead.
