Plug wires Yanking

Just tuned up the XJ and now onto the ZJ. I'm yanking on the plug wires and they won't release! I really don't want to have to cut them off. Am I missing something? This is really stupid! Thanks in advance.

i had a set i had to literally cut off, the PO's ahd never replaced and they were damn near melted on, good luck bro

Get a pick, or bend some stiff wire, slip it up between the porcelain of the spark plug and the boot moving it around the circumference that should break the boot loose.
