woohoo, was that a gooder!
The first few were ok, quick but entertaining all the same.
Silvia fight was ok, can't say anything bad about the fight or either guy. Give it to Monson for putting up such a good fight from such an underdog position... but Tim did well, even when they got to the ground. At times even dominating when they were down.
Gotta love the Hughes- St Pierre fight tho.
Granted I am a little biased (Canuck n all) but Georges dominated him from the get go. I don't think there was second it was in doubt, course it seemed that way when Matt fought BJ, but St Pierre just kept it coming over n over.
The re-match should be good, Hughes is gonna train harder than ever, St Pierre hopefully does the same and defends it.

I think the silvia fight was alright. Silvia shut him down, and almost got a summit...Silvia is a beast. The hughes fight was a shock to me. I thought it would go all 5 and go to the judges not a second round tko.....Good fights all around though.

What was with that on guy just kind sit down on the mat and basically give up and get pounded???????

ya there was the 2 odd fights.
that one like ya stated where the guy 'fell' down and just kinda gave up.
the other the last one where the guy from Holland gave a devastating 'upper thigh kick'???? I know there are nerves runnin up the outside of your knee, andyour hip, I was unaware how immobilizing a kick to the upper thigh could be.

I liked the Silvia Monson fight, I was surprised Silvia stayed down those few times he got on top, I personal feel he had no chance of submitting Monson, but hey to each his own. I find Silvia fights to be somewhat boring, he knowshe doesn't want to go down, and most know they don't want to exchange punches with him so they give him room.

Holy crap, Hughes lost? I just back from Johnson Valley, so I missed the fight. Can't wait to see the replay.

First Franklin, now Hughes.
