Unknown Hose

There's a wire/fabric hose that goes from what looks like the exhaust manifold to in front of the air filter and goes into what i think is the vacuum motor.

Obviously from the picture, mine is shot, and has been since I bought the Jeep. What is it, and where can I get a replacement?

Emission Control Duct Hose Gates Part # 28095 rockauto.com or any autoparts should carry it.

That is a pre heater hose that connects between the side port of the inlet of the air box to the exhaust manifold. It was intended to help warm up the engine in cold weather. They are only on Renix engines with the 4.0L.

Throw it away. Take your air box out and get rid of the valve in the front so that only fresh air from the front will enter the air box.
