Went to Badlands today and had one of the worst days so far out there. I ended up snapping 2 of the 3 boltsin the motor mount. The 3rd fell/was pulled, ??? out. Question I have is is everyone dishing out the money for the aftermarket brackets or should I just fix/replace the stock one and this time check the bolts more often or better off investing?
I'm upgrading the motor mounts reguardless. Just looking for some advice

I've never heard of a bracket failing and causing the bolts to break.

Brown dog has some serious looking brackets that you can order with the motor mounts. You run trail 27 at redbird you need serious stuff.

I am running Brown Dog motor mounts and considered getting the brackets but mine have never failed me and continue to do their job w/ nearly 300,000 miles on them. I would not be afraid of purchasing a set of Brown Dogs items....good quality and great fella to deal with. Also does not hurt to support those who support us!

We get some calls about sheared bolts or busted thread bosses on 4.0L every Monday. This is why we designed our Super Brackets:

Kit with ultra-flex rubber bushings here: http://browndogindustries.com/su2572-0superkitwmmandenginebracketsultraflexrubber.aspx

I'd say the bolts loosened first, and the slop caused the bracket/bolt failure.
My junk is going to get the brown dog mounts, I finger banged them at the crawl and they're very nicely made.

From the way the MM came out in 2 pieces I think they were on their way out the sudden jolt ripped them apart and as mentioned bracket bolts were probably working loose. All is back together with stock parts for now to get me driving again. The new engine will be getting some brackets when it goes in
