CB Radio help

Ok last trip out I was having some trouble. So I bought a SWR meter. When I go to test it, instead of the needle going to the left it pegs right.

So today I take a wire brush to my antenna mount, + and - for power, and look everything over. Still the same problem. Go buy a $40 CB, and 4' antenna (currently 3'). Tried a combination of the new and old, still the same problem. So I take the CB radio back, and get a new coax cable, STILL the same problem, pegging the SWR meter all the way to the right.


Anyone have any ideas what is wrong? I changed nothing from when a friend and I installed and tuned it to the day it started messing up.

Flip the meter upside down and it will go the right direction

Just kiddin, I would take the meeter back. Sounds like that's the defective part not any of the current CB parts.

HAH! Ill give that a shot later on, Thanks.

Ended up being a bad SWR meter, after all of that trouble. haha
