I figure Badlands would be good for them because redbird will tear them up because they have never wheeled. My roommate should have new tires soon too so maybe the ZJ can hit badlands for the first time.

Last time we came out they pushed pretty hard, lots of junk that needed fixed when everyone got home. We'll be camping out at Summer Lake, 'bout 10-15 min north of Attica, great camp site, not a lot of dust, lots of trees, and you don't have to wake up to the sound of ATVs blasting through the camp grounds. We are a good bunch of guys if you don't mind a lot of d*ck and fart jokes.:laugh:

sept 11th and Oct 2nd are the last two TREC races...

The xjbuggypopcan needs an alternator and an oil change (5 to 10 psi at idle seems kind of low)...so I don't know if I'm going to take it, my buddies want me to race it, but I am trying to save for a cali trip and a wedding...) prolly take the baby jeep for some mild to moderate wheelin...

I may co-dawg in the c-class in a zj too...otherwise pit support...

The Jeep and trailer have been sitting out at the storage lot for about 2 months now (ready to go... I guess). Since I last parked it, I have been a little burnt out, and it's been nice not to worry about it for a while.

But now we're a couple days out and I'm getting excited... I think a weekend with the MWC crew will get me motivated to start wrenching on it again. :D

I wasn't sure that I was going to camp Saturday night, but I decided that I better not pass it up. Going to call tomorrow and reserve a camping spot. We should have 4 people, 2 Jeeps and a turkey fryer.

I don't know how long we'll stick around on Sunday, but seeing the KOH qualifier is pretty tempting.

too many rain showers and it was getting cool.
ir rained on and off all the way home, so, I guess it was the right decision.
Camping last night wasn't bad at all.

I was quite shocked when there was like a minute and a half of silence, no trucks going through the bowl, then you hear something loud and high in the RPMs coming from a distance, when out of nowhere the minigyver takes a leap of fate down into the bowl, soars through the air, slams the ground and bursts into a smoke cloud from the busted oil pan that the front diff had just hammered into, not only that, but that he still attempted to drive it up the hill and out of the bowl, needless to say, it didnt make it

Bob it only rained for about 20 minutes and was clear the rest of the night you should've stayed for the campfire!

Minigyver is a zj that a buddy of mine built to trec race. The joke is that he looks like he could be my brother so we run with it and he had a sticker made for his jeep. Ill post the link to the jump of the video when I can I know at least one person got it on video.

The minigyvr zj with trashed motor from the jump actually drove out of the sand bowl under its own power to the trailer. Oh and grace was riding with him too! She had a blast!

I also wheeled all day Friday with a naxja kat named racecar...he also bought lesslimited old xj...we ripped the exhaust off on it on pink trail...ill post pics later.

Had a goodtime wheelin with john bjorn too, 96classic his ls1 is sweet in the xj...and his ultimate adventure stories make me very jealous...

Awesome weekend all around! Got to take a newbie out and scare him a bit by almost flopping the Jeep, got to hang out with the always-great MWC crew, met some new people around the campfire, and got motivated to start working on the Jeep again.

BOB, sorry you and Dawn had to leave early. The turkey was worth staying for. :D We'll make sure to cook another one next time we're all out together.
