Leaking rear diff

I have a 98 Cherokee with a 2.5-3 inch lift. After driving it from Vegas to Ohio I had to have an emergency repair to the rear diff pinion seal. Then by the time I got to Ohio it was leaking again. I heard a slight moan/vibration while driving. Do I need a transfer case drop/SYE? Anyone else have this issue? Thanks, Greg

pull the rear shaft, drive it around the block in 4hi, it will handle weird so be cautious. If you've still got the moaning noise it's likely something related to the pinion bearings.

What drivetrain do you have?

Did you check the pinion nut to see if it was loose?

Is there any side to side play at the pinion yoke?

Is the axle vent open, fluid level too high ? Is the yoke worn, damaged like a groove ?
All could lead to a leak.
