Isn't the cow not being able to stand up a symptom of mad cow? That farmer should be sentenced to eat that cows brain raw.

Sorry to get off topic, but this thread got me thinking about that movie 'The Gods Must Be Crazy'.

Any of you guys see that...because of this thread I was thinking about that scene where the guy was winching his Land Rover (I think) out of the river...forgot about it, and it ended up in the tree. It is hard to explain, but you just have had to seen it.

"oh, bloody hell..." (after finding his land rover up the tree...)

Basically if you don't milk the cow they can get sick and die because they will continue to produce milk but its not being used.... or atleast thats what I remember of the explination my farmer friend gave me. You don't drink the milk from sick cows though, it is dumped after it is taken from the cow.
