I have an 85 Cherokee (Wagoneer) with a 2.8l, TF904 ans 207 case. It will be a daily driver of sorts and I'm looking to swap out the tranny for a 4 speed. I've read that the 700r4 from an S-10 with the 2.8 will bolt up. Will it? I'll also be grabbing the t-case from the same vehicle. Any and all input would be appreciated.
I've considered swapping engines, but the current engine has less than 500 miles since rebuilt. I pulled the engine from a GM vehicle before it was rebuilt.
