Alternator causing hesitation/stumble?

Yes! My 96 4.0s GEN light came on and battery gauge went down, then it started to run poorly, then it would barely run. Put a used alternator and it's all good now.

With the alternator not charging it doesn't take long before the battery voltage drops off; the ECU requires >11V to operate properly....
Running an ECU on <11V is like you working the entire day without eating; your brain loses it ability to concentrate.

Yeah a new cap and rotor didn't fix it and I had bad alternators before with the usual symptoms but was surprised by the effect it had on the engine.

Anything less than 9.0 volts and the electronics go wonky.
