I got access to a free Ford 8.8 rear end. Would this fit my 87 XJ? Is there any tech articles on this? I know I have seen this in other posts, but my searches have come up empty.

this will fit with spring perches and shock mounts, try ruffstuff for the mounts.

what is the 8.8 out of? cause that will also determine whether you want it or not...but I would definately go with Ruff Stuff for the swap kit

It is out of a extended cab Ford Ranger with a V6. Late 90's.

Dont want the ranger axle so much, as its got the 28 spl axles.
