Are there any super easy trails around Flagstaff? The wife and daughter are going to the in-laws by sunset crater mid july. they will be driving a bonestock 99 XJ. Which has to make it back to Wisconsin.

try finding Flagstaff 4 wheelers. They know the area well.

Schnelby hill Rd, off the I17 south of Flagstaff. Takes you right into Sedona! You will love it and its Super Easy!

Schebly hill is a really good one, very scenic. I would've suggested Schultz Pass, not quite as pretty as Sedona, but it's a nice trail through the forest, goes from 180 to 89 between the Peaks and Elden. Hardest part about it is maybe some vertigo from the couple hundred feet drop off on one side for a while, but it's just your average forest service road. Problem is now it's all burned up back there, I'm not even sure if it's open...
I've run the Broken Arrow trail in Sedona a few times in a stock XJ, but I'm not sure if it would be considered super easy. Not hard, but not super easy, in a stock XJ it borders on moderate I'd say. Seeing as how the rig has to make it back to Wisconsin, you might want to play it on the safe side and stick with Schebly Hill.

i agree schnebly hill is the best "easy" trail near flagstaff for scenery. Soldier Pass is another VERY easy trail that for some reason has a "difficult" rating, however it's short easy and under a mile long 1 way. plus soldier pass is only 3 miles through town from where Schnebly trail exits into Sedona. that could be a great day right there if you stopped for lunch at the creekside cafe.
i wouldn't try broken arrow in a stock xj that has to drive 1800 miles soon but nothing beats a trail through the red rocks of Sedona and Broken Arrow is king (if you don't mind the huge swarm of ugly pink jeeps.)

check out "area 3" for trail ratings.
