I've been searching for a while on the interweb and can't find anything larger than 2.25 leaf liners

Anyone have a supplier for 2.5 liners????

2.25 liners would leave 1/8" on each side, that should be fine.

i used 2.25 before with no problems, but I didn't notice any benefit either...

Eaton Detroit Springs

their site is a little funky, but with 2.5" channel liners at $2 I'll be giving it a shot (or an e-mail/call)

I got mine from Deaver Spring in Santa Ana, CA http://www.deaverspring.com/

I had to but a full 100' roll as they don't sell it that often, I used close to 50' and sold the other 50' to one of the guys on here.

I got my teflon strip material from www.enflo.com (0.095" x 2.5" x like 50 feet IIRC) .095" is a little on the thick side.

If I do it again, I'd probably get the stuff from Deaver like G did...

What was the cost G? The source I brought up is $2/foot.

Spring liners are more popular with the hot rod crowd than the 4x4 crowd so hit up local performance shops, they might be able to get you the exact amount you need. (Do yourself a favor and give yourself an extra foot or two just in case)

Do they really help that much? I have debated it and can't convince myself they would make that much of a difference. Discuss

I got a 4x8x.060 sheet of HDPE (High Density PolyEthelene) at Home Depot for $12. Cut it into strips, cleaned the leafs with a wire brush on a drill and bonded the liners to the leaf above using Weld Wood adhesive. Worked great.
