im not sure if this is the right thread to post this in but got a 90, 2 door XJ, 4.0L and it stalled, waited a day then it started right away. then it stalled again waited 20mins and started again then stalled again and now only fires for a second and stalls what could this be?? the TPS or crank sensor??? if so where are they located?? all help is highly appreciated

i had a simmilar issue... check to make sure that the fuel pump is working correctly.... i had to replace mine, and it solved all...

and make sure the throttle body is clean so it can breath at idle

You need to determine if it's a spark or fuel problem. During the time it won't start, check for fuel pressure and spark.
having said that, it sounds more like a fuel problem. Have you tried holding the throttle open a bit when you crank it?

ya i checked for fuel that isnt the problem i have heard of the crank position sensor making jeeps stall out and not start..

you have to ease the clutch and the gas at the same time...
just kidding with you, id check the CPS definately.
