I am finally just about to order my 3.5 RE kit again. (just got my horrible experience with Crawltech straightened out, and found a great dealer to deal with now) But I am not sure whether to get the RE6025 3.5 Superride with full packs or RE6030 Superflex with full packs? There is 45 dollars difference between the two. The only difference is the the lower control arms, discos (which i heard RE discos suck a#@) and front bumpstops. I was also thinking of buying the superflex kit and switching the lower arms out for adjustable superride arms and seeing if i can get something different inplace of the discos.
What would you do?????
Any info or experiences with the two would be appreciated. Thanks, NICK

The Super-Ride (SR) arms have rubber bushings in both ends. Super-Flex (SF) arms have a rubber bushing at the axle end, and a circular (Heim-type) joint at the frame end. SFs are supposed to flex better, although you get more road noise thanks to the lack of rubber bushings.

As for disconnects you can upgrade the RE to JKS when you order the kit as RE carries them, yes you can upgrade to adjustable arms also, you can custom order any kit from RE with any combination you like . If you plan to add to the lift later then getting adjustable arms is a good idea as it will cost alot more to get them later.

Good point about swapping parts into the RE order; I did that with my 6130 4.5" lift so I wouldn't have the added costs later on when my inchitis comes back. Added the adjustable HD Trackbar and Adjustable LCAs (Why Adj LCA? It seemed right at the time....)

I should have gone with the JKS Disco's as well, but kept the RE kit and got talked into the JKS after I opened the box and looked at all the loose parts that promised to rattle...

yup I do it all the time for customers, it just makes things easier to do later when the inchidus kicks in. I would say about 95% of them upgrade to JKS right off the bat. and about 45% upgrade to the adjustable arms

I am going with the superflex I think. i am def. swapping the arms and possibly the discos or just might go with the extended links for now. $$$ is tight.

I just wish that I knew I could customize my order!!! I hate the RE sway bar disconnects..... I had no idea about the advantages of an adjustable UCA......and when I ordered my kit I gave them my year (96) and they sent me the u bolts for a dana 35 (96's have Chrysler 8.25's) And I hadto pay for the new u bolts before they would ship them (I understand the policy but heck...they screwed up...not me)
But...thats all in the past...the kit works great.....I can't imagine wanting to go any higher (okay...maybe an inch...) It flexes great and I just love my XJ....
what can I say...
sucker for AC!
Rick
BTW go SF....

No 44's,Non-ABS brakes=C8.25",ABS=D35! Id bet theres about equal numbers!

I'm not too sure about the numbers....all the guys I wheel with that have later model rigs have either 8.25s or (pick your choice here of all the cool mods XJ people have done) but no 35's. Although I have managed to get in with a crowd of people that if they did have the 35 as OEM they would have broken it by now and replaced it... (jeeze...one guy has Dana 60's with the stock 4.0 [LS1 in his garage now!])
I just re-read your post...that explains it....I would bet the ABS models are the fluff rigs with all the niffty do dads and the like.. and most of them probably don't see much off-road action (as though any model XJ sees a lot of wheelin')
BTW hows the weather in Phx?

He did not screw up, RE is supposed to ask which rear axle you have when ordering something that comes with full leaf packs, I know this for a fact as I deal with them everyday
