OK folks, time to go vote in our chapter elections! That abstain guy is putting up quite the challenge...

Tom was nominated, but never formally accepted the nomination, thus was excluded from the ballot.

I was going to formally decline--I did give it much consideration--but I lost track of time and thought I had one more day. I'm just not in a good position at the moment to take on anything extra. I still need to find a job! :)

I appreciate those who supported my nomination and hopefully I'll have that support when I do decide to run for local or national office again. Thanks.

With all the volunteers stepping forward I think Abstain might be the best choice.

democratcy at its best. now if i choose "abstain" do i still get to gripe?

at least no one is "educating or persuading" (with weapons) us on how we want to vote like many governments abroad.

I notice you can say this but never stepped forward to run for office.

Can't have more then one person running if no one is willing to step up and help out.

Yes and no. Polling is still open but you may have noticed (if you voted) that there was no competition, so in a sense it was over before it ever started. But that is a valid question. When is it official?

The polls are open through 11-29-06.

The official introductions of those who have volunteered their time to help the chapter will be at the holiday party.
