i bought a 99 cherkee to make a mud buggy out of.theres no keys so i pulled the switch down and started it with a screwdriver.the pass key wont let it run very long at a time.does anyone know how to bypass this problem?

If you have a title, and you havent destroyed the tumbler, take it to a dealership and they should be able to pull a key code and make one for you. You sure this is keeping it from running?

What is "won't run very long"? I thought they wouldn't run at all if they had the "chip in the key" system.

No offense meant, but brand new user, first post, wants to defeat an anti-theft device.

Kind of makes me feel a little uneasy.
