I just bought a nice rebuilt long block from Proformance. It has been working real good for the first 600 miles but now has developed a water leak. This is coming from the threaded stud on the #1 exhaust port. When I got the engine I noticed that there was only one stud on the very front of the head, I would assume it functions as a hanger to help on install of the exhast header?
Does this stud have a threaded thru-hole to a water jacket, I haven't taken it apart yet?
If so what should I use to seal the threads before I put the stud back in?
