Okay so my wife drives a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. Its has been an awesome car so far. Never has had a problem and it has 90K miles on it. She bought it in 2003 with about 17K on the odo. It gets awesome gas mileage and it’s a 4 door.
I found a Cherokee that I really like for $10K that is lifted already and its on 33's. Im wondering if we should sell her car and get that Cherokee. She says "I really don’t care, but it looks cool." So I don't know what to do.
I know that if I got that then I would have another project and would be wanting to drive it and off road it, but it would be awesome having 2 big Cherokees in the driveway.
Hmm, maybe its not a good idea because she does so much running around town and drives 30 miles one way to work. Its not a very practical vehicle, ya know? Her Hyundai gets such good mileage and a lifted Cherokee is not something that is practical for running errands in.
What do you guys think? Maybe I could buy that for her now and when my rig becomes a trail rig green sticker I can take over her Cherokee and buy her another good gas mileage vehicle or a Silvarado like she really wants and have something to tow the XJ with. Whatever there is really no rush and I just liked the Cherokee so I was talking to her about it.
Her present car has nothing wrong with it and we have no reason to have to get rid of it. I guess if she is not that enthused about it maybe I should just pass it up?
Let me know what y'all think. Maybe this could be a good way to get the wife into liking Jeeping more? Although it might be a bad idea to have 2 capable off road daily drivers.
