Okay so my wife drives a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. Its has been an awesome car so far. Never has had a problem and it has 90K miles on it. She bought it in 2003 with about 17K on the odo. It gets awesome gas mileage and it’s a 4 door.

I found a Cherokee that I really like for $10K that is lifted already and its on 33's. Im wondering if we should sell her car and get that Cherokee. She says "I really don’t care, but it looks cool." So I don't know what to do.

I know that if I got that then I would have another project and would be wanting to drive it and off road it, but it would be awesome having 2 big Cherokees in the driveway.
Hmm, maybe its not a good idea because she does so much running around town and drives 30 miles one way to work. Its not a very practical vehicle, ya know? Her Hyundai gets such good mileage and a lifted Cherokee is not something that is practical for running errands in.

What do you guys think? Maybe I could buy that for her now and when my rig becomes a trail rig green sticker I can take over her Cherokee and buy her another good gas mileage vehicle or a Silvarado like she really wants and have something to tow the XJ with. Whatever there is really no rush and I just liked the Cherokee so I was talking to her about it.

Her present car has nothing wrong with it and we have no reason to have to get rid of it. I guess if she is not that enthused about it maybe I should just pass it up?
Let me know what y'all think. Maybe this could be a good way to get the wife into liking Jeeping more? Although it might be a bad idea to have 2 capable off road daily drivers.

Keep the fuel saver and continue to drive the XJ on the street until you convert it into a Toyota.

$10K is high for any year XJ. I was selling my 2000, 60K, with 6 lift, locked f/r, 4:88s, LAs and 35s for $8500. Look around the price is waaaaaay to high.

Good call. He wanted $14 for it and I said 10 and he said ok.
Im over it then. I like having good gas mileage and we drive that thing everywhere. Vegas, Arizona once to Colorado.
Plus buying new tires and all that crap every year or so for 2 lifted XJ's would suck.

I think that i'll keep mine as a DD for now allong with the car. When the Jeep is a trail rig i'll buy a tow rig (I want a Cummings Diesel) she wants a Silvarado, but I'll win that arguement so.... yeah im over it. I just have this extra $220 that i used to pay on my XJ burning a hole and I want to finance something new.

Whatever, next year we are planning on buying a house so I should hold off until then anyways. The rolled jeep is still a nice daily driver

I now have a TJ, or shoudl I say, my wife now has a TJ so $220 per month would help build em' both.....

Naa I think i'll hold onto it. I think that i'll start putting that $ into my separate "Jeep spending account" which is pretty sad right now. Actually the "Jeep spending account" becomes the "Wifes Christmas account" around this time.
