I am setting up my air bumps. I am using the T&J kit up front. So the thinking in that is done for me. On the rear I am mounting the air bump in a can on the out side of the frame rail, so it strikes on top of the leaf spring pad. I want to make/buy a UHMW pad to fit over the U-bolts. Where can I get that? Either raw material or something made. I just need a 2 in thick square with 4 holes.
Has anybody else got a set up like this?

Thanks I think they have what I want.
What material should I use?
I am currently transforming my XJ from slow trail running only to a hybrid do it all type. I live in VA on the Eastern Shore at that. So pre runner might as well be chinese around here. I have tons of questions. You guys are a great resource. Thanks!

UMHW can be gotten at any good plastics supply store, most will cut and drill it for you (for a fee of course)

FYI. UHMW can be cut on a table saw. I personally orefer to use a fostner (sp?) bit to drill with as it leaves a somewhat better hole. You can run it through a plane to fine tune the size. Just treat it like a hard wood and all will be mostly well.
Until recently, UHMW was not being welded. It can be done with a hydrogen flame as it has a VERY high melt point and is suseptable to contamination.
Great stuff though, Snomobile manufacturers use it as a bearing surface for the track to run on...

What about delrin? Is there a difference? Everything is gonna be done monday. I am going to truss the rear, beef up control arm mounts and move the lower shock mount to the control arm mount.
