metal in the oil pan

i was tearing down my motor today to see what was making the knocking noise and found this in my oil pan i think it part of the piston skirt? what do yall think?

Maybe, why don't you shine a flashlight up at the piston skirts and have a look-see.
 
Maybe there just extra pieces? I always have a couple of those laying around after I fix stuff. :laugh3: No seriously that's not good. Not even a little bit good. Now I'm gonna have nightmares for sure.:eek:
 
This makes me worry about the loud knocking noise I get from my MJ's engine at idle... still runs great though so I might just keep running it till it blows :eyes:
