so i was lookin at Brendan_91XJ's post for the 500 race last weekend and thought it would be cool to set up a thread with people who would be up for volunteering for any of the teams on here, or anyone they know looking for help. and any teams needing help to post up.

i would be more than happy to help anyone out with pit/ chasing. im sure my jeep is more than capable of gettin the job done.

maybe we could discuss what is needed on your rig and who is up for volunteering there help. always wanted to get into jeepspeed somehow but cant afford it, so i guess this may be the next best thing right? haha

Huge PROPS to the whole gang. They sat out on the far side of the course till almost midnight with the wind howling waiting for our cars to come thru.

This is a great idea me and my friends go to the race's and sometimes don't know anyone racing so we just watch but if we knew of teams needing help we would be all for it.

Looks like we blew the pump out the front of it. Oil sprayed out the hood vents under so much pressure that we have oil on top of the car too.

FAIR is always looking for help. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined and can sit through a race without drinking then you can get in on the action. And you get to work on all kinds of racers when you do that.

If anyone needs any help pitting/chasing/photos im usually up for it just as long as the XJ is working... right now its getting some work done but should be ready to roll shortly..

I can always use help.. its hard to find and if you do most of the time they mean well but the know nothing about the Cherokee.

Good FREE help is hard to find for sure. :laugh:

Serious though, if they are willing to just haul parts/fuel and chase for you, you may have to get out and help wrench but at least you have help. I know the Filars have been out and helped and the 9 car we chased for the driver got out and help change a whole front ball joint/arm assembly. With time they will pick it up and be able to do more and more. :guitar:

Dude, we had parts to him in a heart beat though.. .hahahaha

No doubt, Andy brings up a great point , you chase for a certain set of folks consistenly, and you start picking up more and more.

My Recomendation, its a serious volunteer job... take it seriously and you can learn a ton! Plus, nothing better than knowing you helped the guys your with finish, or even better, WIN!

You come and pit/chase for us or FAIR and you get to have some of Randy's BBQ in the main pit after the race. Ribs, tri-tip, brats...

Thats tempting......haha

When I pitted for Fordguys Pro truck in Parker we had some of THE best food I have ever had...let alone at a track.

We always try to eat well out there. It is part of the fun. Gets even better with Tracy's Road Kill Stew and my chili.

I generally cant afford to feed myself.... so my chase always ends up on their own for food. I still cant figure out why people still help us... Atleast we drink alot.

thought i would bump this thread since there is 2 upcoming jeepspeed races.

i may be chasing on the 11th for a friend racing 1300 but will post up if somethin comes up and im available.

I'm always down to help. I'm little too far north I believe though. If someone from sac is going down, I'm free to help. I have tons of tools, and like to pretend I know what Im doing. lol. Pm me if someone wants some help and ill dish out my digits.
