:repair:So seems one of my rod barrings is going out so now need to figure out what all I'm going to need to get it fixed. Isn't there a kit out there you can buy that has everything a person would need to do the job? If so does anyone happen to have one of these kits laying around for a 4.0 that they would like to sell? If not anyone know where I can pick this said kit up for a fair price? Need to get fixed as soon as I can seeings how this is my DD and don't think the wife is to happy having to share cars right now lol. So trying to order offline might be out. Thanks for any help that might be provided here. :repair:

How bad does it knock? If it's to bad you maybe past the point of no return. Or does it make the usual 4.0 rattle if so.

I was looking for a pan gasket and rear main seal since your there and it most likely leaks. I would also get a roll of 320 emery cloth to.

THis is a much better way of going, rather than patching a junk motor by spinning new bearings into it.

This I might be interested in. How good is good? Is it still in the rig or alrready out?
My only thing would be getting it from one place to the next though.

ran great when i pulled it, so yes its out of the rig

make it 350 and i'll deliver it and bring my hoist so we can get it out of the truck and to were you want to park it

also it doesnt have the 0330 or what ever heads are prone to cracking any more, i swapped it out for an older head when i redid the head gasket

CJ, take it for what its worth, but i've personally seen it run. He's simply selling it due to building a different rig.

Plus, If you need help installing it, I have time to lend a hand. Its a rather straight forward swap! I'll bring the air compressor and Impact, and I also have a stand and hoist.:greensmok
