Interesting option for old ac's Freeze 12

I've got a 92 XJ and summer is right around the corner. I live in Nevada so ac is important and I need a recharge of the old R 12 system. I've found what is supposed to be a direct R 12 replacement called Freeze 12.

I have yet to try it. Has anyone tried it? This could be fantastic at about $12 a can.

I have tried it once. I was in Tampico, Mexico back in 98' and had it serviced there. The guy charged my a/c up since i had no tools. I gave him 20 buks, worked great. I had in there till about 3 years ago when I wrecked my front end and busted one of my a/c hoses while cutting my header panel off.
